Case Study · Restorative Dentistry
The patient noticed a dark spot on her upper front tooth and was concerned about the aesthetics.
A Class V cavity was found on the maxillary right lateral incisor (#12). The cavity was non-carious in origin with evidence of abrasion/erosion. The tooth was vital and asymptomatic to percussion.
A direct composite restoration was performed using a shade-matched composite resin. The cavity was prepared, etched, bonded, and restored in layers to achieve optimal aesthetics and contour.
The restoration blended seamlessly with the natural tooth structure. The patient was delighted with the aesthetic result and reported no further concerns. Follow-up at 3 months showed intact margins and excellent gingival health.
